SCARFS

Mouhib scarves are woven by hand on traditional looms using high quality pure wool and Egyptian cotton. The design features are of soft woven leather, delicate Rabati embroideries and primitive style hand drawings. All finished in leather fringing. The wool in it’s natural state, untreated, hand washed in fresh streams, then to the transformation process where the wool is prepared by the weavers from Moroccan villages of the Middle Atlas Mountains and further a field in Argentina South America.

Back in the studio, Mouhib begins the colour and design processes, using henna and various natural dyes that contain a spiritual essence, a non-tangible blessing commonly known in Morocco as “Baraka”. These purified artist’s mediums are found in abundance through out Morocco, and we conveniently source them from the merchants of Fes.
